My Journey from BPO to PHRN to UKRN

Road to become a UK Nurse

Making UK dream happen, everyone has their own story. The struggles they had, the bittersweet experiences along the way, their success on how they made it and everything in between. Some are lucky enough to have a smooth and easy application while others had hiccups along the way. May it be financially, time-restraint, gaps, lack of drive to continue the process, doubts, relationships, health issues and other personal reasons.

As what they say, each one of us has our own unique timeline and life is not a race. As long as we persevere, set our mind to the goal, and work for it - we will get there!

Mine is a unique case too. I'd like to share my journey in a simplest way possible. Just a brief background, I graduated nursing March 2010, passed our local board exam July of thesame year, and I never worked in any hospital until 2019! No healthcare-related jobs at all. That was nine-long-years of gap! I worked in a BPO company since then until February of 2019. So I totally forgot that I wanted to be a nurse, but that doesn't mean I forgot that I AM a nurse. I don't know how to explain it, but I never thought I'd be coming back to my profession. I just realised one day that I wanted to work abroad and become a heathcare provider, afterall.

So I started working on that old, resurfaced dream.

By God's grace, I'm already here! 🙏

I arrived in the United Kingdom March 14, 2020.

  2. Hi. Thank you. Accomo here is larger and cheaper compared to the ones in mainland. With everything included (water, electric, wifi) it can range to £300 - £400 :)
